About Me

From my earliest memories, I have always loved clothes and found it exhilarating putting unconventional outfits together.  Fashion was definitely an inherited trait I credit to my late grandmother, Ms. Julia Garcia.  As a child, I would hear stories about my grandmother's sewing skills and how those skills bettered her life in so many ways and I never forgot them.  It was her self taught skills and innovations that helped in the discovery of my own destiny.  I can definitely say I'm in love with fashion.  It is my world and its unexpected possibilities are what inspires me and drives my creativity.  My designs are metaphors of my own life experiences. The various female silhouettes I select encompass an aesthetic of structure and trim manipulating.  Fashion is more than just clothing to me, it's art that tells a story.

I recently graduated from Sanford Brown/IADT School of Design with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design.  During my last two terms, I interned with Majestic Athletic in their Product Development department.

I am extremely excited about my future in the fashion industry and cannot wait to see what other opportunities I will encounter as I continue to work toward creating my own clothing lines and promoting my brand.  I have already showcased at Tampa Bay Fashion Week in 2015 and I am currently promoting my Spring 2016 Collection entitled "Ori" that was inspired by origami.  I am also working on several fashion design freelance projects.  I will be presenting a costume collection presented for The Tampa Bay Theatre Festival in Tampa, Florida on June 4, 2016 inspired by the Broadway play Wicked.
